Xfinity Router Login
Access your Xfinity xFi Gateway to change WiFi settings, manage connected devices, and configure parental controls. You can use the xFi app (recommended) or login via web browser at 10.0.0.1.
Login to Xfinity Gateway:

Xfinity xFi App (Easiest Method)
- Download Xfinity app from App Store or Google Play
- Sign in with your Xfinity ID (email/username)
- Tap Connect tab at the bottom
- Tap WiFi to see your network
- Manage settings, devices, and more

How to Login
- Connect to your Xfinity WiFi network
- Open a web browser
- Type
http://10.0.0.1in address bar - Enter username: admin
- Enter password: password
- Click Login
Note: Some advanced settings are only available via the web interface, including port forwarding, bridge mode, and detailed network configuration.
Change WiFi Password
Via xFi App
- Open Xfinity app
- Go to Connect → WiFi
- Tap Edit WiFi
- Enter new password
- Tap Save
Via Web (10.0.0.1)
- Login to 10.0.0.1
- Go to Gateway → Connection → WiFi
- Click Edit next to your network
- Enter new password
- Click Save Settings

Enable Bridge Mode
Use your own router with Xfinity internet:
- Login to 10.0.0.1
- Go to Gateway → At a Glance
- Find Bridge Mode
- Click Enable
- Confirm the change
- Connect your router to the gateway via ethernet
Note: Bridge mode disables the gateway's WiFi and router functions.
Port Forwarding
For gaming, hosting servers, or remote access:
- Login to 10.0.0.1
- Go to Advanced → Port Forwarding
- Click Add Port Forward
- Select device or enter IP address
- Enter port number(s)
- Choose TCP, UDP, or Both
- Click Apply

Parental Controls
Available in xFi app (free with Xfinity internet):
- Pause Internet — Instantly pause WiFi for specific devices

Troubleshooting

| Can't reach 10.0.0.1 | Make sure you're on Xfinity WiFi, not mobile data |
| Password doesn't work | Default is "password" — try that first |
| xFi app won't connect | Sign out and sign back in |
| No internet | Restart gateway (unplug, wait 30 sec, plug back in) |
| Slow WiFi | Check for interference, restart gateway |
| Can't change settings | Some settings locked — contact Xfinity |
| Devices keep disconnecting | Check for IP conflicts, update gateway firmware |
Reset Xfinity Gateway
- Find reset button on back of gateway
- Press and hold with paperclip for 30 seconds
- Wait for gateway to restart (5-10 minutes)
- Reconnect to default WiFi (on gateway label)
- Reconfigure your settings
