NETGEAR Router Login
Access your NETGEAR router admin panel to change WiFi password, update firmware, set up parental controls, and configure network settings. NETGEAR routers can be accessed via the web interface or the Nighthawk app.
Login to NETGEAR:

Note: Newer NETGEAR routers may have a unique password printed on the router label. Check the bottom or back of your router.
How to Login
- Connect to your NETGEAR WiFi or use ethernet cable
- Open a web browser
- Type
http://routerlogin.netorhttp://192.168.1.1 - Enter username: admin
- Enter password: password (or check router label)
- Click Log In
NETGEAR Nighthawk App
The easiest way to manage newer NETGEAR routers:
- Download NETGEAR Nighthawk app (iOS/Android)
- Connect to your NETGEAR WiFi
- Open the app and follow setup
- Create or sign in to NETGEAR account
- Manage WiFi, see devices, run speed tests

What You Can Configure
- Wireless Settings — WiFi name, password, channel, band

Change WiFi Password
- Login to routerlogin.net
- Go to Wireless (or Setup → Wireless Settings)
- Find Security Options
- Select WPA2-PSK [AES]
- Enter new password in Passphrase field
- Click Apply
- Reconnect devices with new password
Update Firmware
- Login to routerlogin.net
- Go to ADVANCED → Administration
- Click Firmware Update or Router Update
- Click Check to see if update is available
- If available, click Yes to install
- Wait for router to restart (don't unplug!)
Troubleshooting

| routerlogin.net not working | Try 192.168.1.1 or check DNS settings |
| Password not working | Check router label for unique password |
| Forgot password | Factory reset (hold reset button 10 sec) |
| Can't connect to WiFi | Check if WiFi is enabled in router settings |
| Slow internet | Update firmware, check QoS settings |
| App can't find router | Connect to router's WiFi first |
Factory Reset
- Find reset button (pinhole on back of router)
- Press and hold with paperclip for 10 seconds
- Power LED will blink amber
- Wait for router to restart
- Login with default credentials (admin/password)
Warning: Factory reset erases all custom settings.
